We went to HongKong to celebrate mothers’ day and stayed at the Silveri from 10th to 11st May and then stayed at Novotel Citygate from 11st to 13rd May. Our stay was so much joyous by selecting Novotel Citygate. From the very moment we put our feet down we were met with the kindness and respect. Our earlier check in process was flawless. Our room 2326 was upgraded in recognition of our platinum membership to one of the highest level rooms and best and lovely views to the Bay Excellent breakfast for the downstairs restaurant and Ken is a great attendant . I will start out by saying that all the staff with whom we had contact at reception were excellent, and they really did make us feel welcome. I recalled his name is Jason Cheung. He went above and beyond, recommended places to visit and surprised us with an amenity. I have to say all of the staffs were very professional and helpful. Definitely will recommend and revisit. Thank you Novotel Citygate for making our stay so much better. Oops, almost forgot the men, I had a chat with him when I sat in the shuttle bus to the hotel. He is so friendly and helpful. His Chinese name is 基。

Perfect Choice - Especially Disney land and Nongping 360 Visits

We have booked 2 rooms at Novotel City Gates for 4 nigts from 29th April to 3rd May 2024. The hotel was a perfcet choce for us as we have planned to vist DL and Ngongping 360. MTR, Bus Stop, Cable car, Ferry are at walking distance from this hotel and you can travel to anywhere in HK with ease. 10 Minutes travel to HKG Airport and the hotel provide free shuttle bus on every 20 minutes. You may catch the bus from HKG Airport (Car Park1, Bus Bay 11-14). We have given connecting rooms as we travelled with our grown up kids. Rooms are spacious as per HK standards. From 18th floor overlooking the airport and cable car stations was stunning and we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast is served is very good, with live egg, noodle soup section with daily changes. Staff at breakfast section is very polite but fast and clearing the plates too early which the managers may please note. Some staff at the hotel is very polite and well manered to their guests; However, we found some of them are very rude ( especially lady front office staff) and not fit for their job. We have clearevidence of this but do not want to disclose it here in this forum, however will report to Accor directly.

I highly recommendvthis hotel. Nice location, good service and worth the price. When we availed of the breakfast buffet, breakfast buffet from 830 to 10am is only $100. They also have 50% dinner buffet which we were not able to avail. We will come back to this hotel.

Grima at the front desk made my entire stay. Efficient & courteous with a twinkle in her eye thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed our occasional banter which made me feel so much more at home. Such a pleasure to deal with and what an asset to the hospitality industry. Accor, hold on to her. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle bus services to and from the airport every 20 minutes but when traffic is at its peak, the wait at the airport is tiresome esp for those post long haul travellers. Rooms are slightly dated but reasonably clean and the beds comfortable. USB ports for (slow) charging phones/watches are present. Close proximity (up the escalators by the front desk) to the shopping mall and restaurants and a 5 to 7 minute walk to the MTR (Mass Transit System) makes this a convenient base even if travelling time to Hong Kong Island takes a lot longer. All in all, this remains my hotel of choice when in Hong Kong. Booked to return soon!

Our recent stay at Novotel proved mostly convenient given its strategic location 15-20 minutes from the airport—ideal for our itinerary, which included trips to Disneyland and Macau. Despite our delayed arrival at 11:55 PM and missing the last shuttle which stopped at 11:40 PM, the 10-minute Uber ride from the airport was swift. As an Accor Diamond Member, we were accommodated on the 21st floor, one of the premier floors. The Standard King Bedroom felt spacious with a refreshing river, highway, and airport view. Notably, the room was surprisingly quiet despite its proximity to the road. However, international travelers should note the need for a Hong Kong power adapter. The lounge offerings were modest, with operational hours from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, shorter than those at Sofitel and Fairmont. The selection included sandwiches, salads, ice cream, fruits, and various drinks. While breakfast variety was lacking—offering the same dishes each day—the room itself, the hotel's direct connection to Citygate Mall, and proximity to transport links made up for these minor drawbacks. In summary, our stay at Novotel was positive, making it a likely choice for future visits, especially due to its location and the benefits of Accor membership.
